Vsevolod Kovalevskij (also known as Seva) is an artist and curator born in Vilnius, living between Lithuania and Norway. His work encompasses moving images, installations, textiles, photography, and performed spaces. His practice explores identity, memory, secrecy, and the shifting boundaries between public and private space. He holds an MFA from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and MA degrees from both the Tromsø Academy of Contemporary Art and Goldsmiths, University of London. He also participated in the Rupert educational programme. His work has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Art, the Contemporary Art Centre, Vartai Gallery, Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, Tromsø Kunstforening, and other institutions internationally, and is included in public collections including Videokunstarkivet at the Nasjonalmuseet in Norway.

Kovalevskij is a founding member of the Young Poor Artists collective, directed the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association project spaces Malonioji 6 and Sodų 4 in Vilnius, and founded the nomadic art initiative InTheCloset, operating between Norway and Lithuania. Deeply engaged in institutional advocacy across both regional contexts, he has served on the boards of the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association, the Norwegian Curators’ Association, and the Norwegian Association of Art Societies.
